Being the social media maven that she is, Rihanna is not going to back down when it comes to digital impostors.

After quitting Instagram last month, RiRi wants her fans to be clear that a new account purporting to be her isn't legit.

The 26-year-old "Stay" singer deactivated her Instagram account following a minor controversy in which the photo-sharing site removed nude pictures she posted of herself from a Lui magazine shoot. So when a new account popped up using her old handle — "badgalriri" — Rihanna took to Twitter to clarify things:

The new fake account now appears to be offline as well.

Instagram's PR team told Yahoo last month that Rihanna's account was not disabled even though it was taken offline temporarily by accident. Once it was restored, however, Rihanna never reactivated it. At the time, she was the third most popular individual on the site with 12.8 million followers, behind only to Kim Kardashian (14 million) and Justin Bieber (15.7 million).

After the supposed Instagram glitch, Rihanna posted the same nude shots from Lui on Twitter (which does allow for nudity) and mocked Instagram directly. Rihanna has 35.4 million followers on Twitter.

Rihanna also has 87 million Likes on Facebook, which owns Instagram and has a similar "no nudity" policy.

Perhaps we'll see her jump ship from there soon as well?
