LeAnn Rimes usually makes headlines for her figure or her love life, but this time it's for her smile.
The 30-year-old filed a malpractice lawsuit against her dentist on Thursday, claiming that work Dr. Duane C. McKay conducted over three years is affecting her career. The lawsuit, obtained by omg!, states that the dentist provided crowns and veneers to help alleviate pain from TMJ and improve her appearance.
As a result of the dental work, Rimes says that she's undergone nine root canals, bone grafting, a temporary bridge, and physical therapy, and that she's suffered a "permanent cosmetic deficiency." Mrs. Eddie Cibrian also claims that she's been unable perform as a result, so she's seeking money from past and future earnings.
Despite the lawsuit, Rimes didn't indicate that anything was amiss on her Twitter feed.
"Practicing baseball w/ Eddie & [his son] Jake makes me miss being a kid & playing softball," she wrote on Twitter Thursday afternoon. "Those were good times!"
