Sorry, Robin Thicke, but it's really over.
The singer's wife of nine years, actress Paula Patton, has filed for divorce in L.A., citing "irreconciliable differences." She is seeking joint custody of the couple's 4-year-old son, Julian, according to documents filed Oct. 3 obtained by The Insider With Yahoo.
Thicke, 37, and Patton, 38, separated in February after months of rumors that Thicke had strayed from his marriage multiple times. Still, the couple released a joint statement: "We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time."

Since the couple's breakup, though, Thicke has been open about wanting to win his wife back. The "Blurred Lines" singer dedicated several of his performances to her and released a song called "Get Her Back" in May, along with an album, Paula, a month later.
The two met as teens (he was 14, she was 15) at an underage club on L.A.'s Sunset Strip. They began dating two years later, and broke up only once during those early years. They married in 2005, and welcomed their son five years later.

At least one of the reasons for the split was revealed last month when a deposition he gave in April for a separate court case was released. In it, Thicke was asked whether he's an honest person.
"No. That's why I'm separated," he said.
Thicke, who also confessed that he "didn't do a sober interview" in 2013, later was asked if he's selective about telling the truth.
"Absolutely not," Thicke said. "I told my wife the truth. That's why she left me."
