In March, Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard welcomed their little bundle of joy into the world. The proud papa took to Twitter to share the news of their daughter's arrival writing, "Lincoln Bell Shepard is here." The happy couple named their baby girl after Dax's favorite car, a 1967 Lincoln. Dax loves the car so much, he even cast the sweet ride in his 2012 flick "Hit and Run" alongside his real-life leading lady. And while "Lincoln" might seem like a boy name, in an interview on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno," Kristen explained why it was perfect for their little one. She said, "[Dax] always wanted his first to be named Lincoln, and so we got lazy when we found out she was a girl and said, 'Hey, why not Lincoln?'"
Holly Madison gave birth in March to a beautiful little girl, but the former Playboy bunny raised a few eyebrows when she chose the moniker, Rainbow Aurora. The blond bombshell told "omg! Insider" correspondent Keltie Knight in May about the inspiration behind the name. "I grew up in Alaska and Oregon, which is kind of a hippie area, and there was a girl in my school younger than me named Rainbow and I was always superjealous of that name," she explains. "I thought it was so pretty and so original. And I'd forgotten about that name for a long time until I got pregnant, and I was like, 'That's the perfect name for my little girl.'"
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West shocked fans this year when they named their adorable baby girl North West. In June, Kim's mama, Kris Jenner, gave fans a little insight into the unusual name choice during a visit to "The View." "The way [Kim] explained it to me was North means 'highest power,' and she says that North is [Kim and Kanye's] highest point together," Jenner said. "And I thought that was really sweet."
