The show will not go on for now.

Broadway and movie actress Liza Minnelli has checked into a rehab facility again, her rep confirmed to The Insider With Yahoo on Wednesday.

"Liza Minnelli has valiantly battled substance abuse over the years and whenever she has needed to seek treatment she has done so," the spokesman said in a statement. "She is currently making excellent progress at an undisclosed facility."

TMZ reported that Minnelli, 69, is undergoing treatment in Malibu, California, and that "her main issue is alcohol."

The Cabaret star has talked openly about her struggle with alcoholism and drugs. Her late mother, actress Judy Garland, also struggled with substance abuse much of her life before dying of an overdose at age 47 in 1969.

"My whole life, this disease has been rampant," Minnelli said of her alcoholism in a May 2008 interview with The Guardian. "I inherited it, and it's been horrendous, but I have always asked for help."

Minnelli first sought help for an addiction to Valium and alcohol at the Betty Ford Center in 1984, with the encouragement of fellow actress Elizabeth Taylor.
