Love magazine (or perhaps the publication should change its name to Kardashian-Jenner magazine) chatted with Kris recently and pretty much got straight to the point, asking her: "Where did the rumors that he is transitioning come from?"
"I'm not even answering that," the 59-year-old matriarch replied. "It's just dumb."
So is Kris in denial, as has been widely reported? Or is she playing dumb to let Bruce have his moment when he's ready to address the situation?
While that remains to be seen, Kris was willing to recycle and share the same "we're good friends" line she has been using for the past year.
"Bruce is great. Bruce is good," Kris told the mag. "We're good friends. In life, you realize on some level you're happier living apart than you are together and that's what happened with us. We just grew apart. We weren't getting along like two people in love should be getting along. And it's been kind of amazing, you know?"
She also was eager to deny that their reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashians had anything to do with the decision to divorce. "No. No, not at all, it has nothing to do with it," she said. "We live our lives the way we would anyway. It just happens to be on camera."
There have been conflicting reports as to how much Kris was in the know about Bruce's gender identity struggle, but she has kept the same poker face in the media.
A year ago when rumors started to heat up, TMZ cameras caught Kris in Malibu and asked her if Bruce was having a sex change, would she be supportive. Jenner laughed and brushed off the questions, calling the paparazzi "idiots."
In October, she dismissed the rumors once again.
"It's silly! [The tabloids have] been saying that since the '70s, so you think he'd be cooked by now," she said on the Today show. "They just keep regurgitating the same old stuff."
"Kris is in complete denial about what's going on with Bruce," a source tells Us Weekly. "She doesn't talk about it at all and refuses to acknowledge it."
"It's really a hard adjustment for her," People reports. "Kris had the most difficult time in the family. She's looking back at their entire marriage, and a lot of things are suddenly making sense. She has had a lot to process."
KUWTK season 10 premieres this spring, so maybe we'll get some answers — or whatever answers Kris & Ko. wants us to get —
