Kim Kardashian is a woman who spends a long time getting ready before leaving the house, but all that preparation couldn't prevent a dreaded wardrobe snag.
The 33-year-old routinely steps out in high-fashion ensembles worth thousands of dollars (we call it the Kanye effect). On Wednesday, however, she was outfitted in a peplum top from her family's affordable Kardashian Kollection fashion line at Lipsy in London — along with a curve-hugging black skirt from an unspecified brand — and the outfit seemed to be falling apart with every step she took.
The black and white top, which doesn't even hit stores until Oct. 29, had a flaw at the seam keeping the fabric from coming together and creating a small, triangle shape opening, which exposed a bit of her back. Oops! But even worse was the skirt. It was actually splitting at the seams along her rear, causing the fabric to fray and make a dime-size tear. The top of the leg slit was also starting to unravel.
Coincidentally, Kim's fashion faux pas occurred while she was out in London promoting her latest range from the Kardashian Kollection line.
We suspect her style snafu is something her husband Kanye West wouldn't approve of. After all, the rapper and fashion lover famously gave Kim a style makeover back when they were dating. He brought a stylist into Kim's massive closet and they removed a good portion of her existing wardrobe, replacing it with some "superfresh" new items that met his approval.
Kim's seam-splitting look is just one of several times this week that she's showed extra skin. At the GQ Men of the Year Awards the night before, she wore a black latex bodysuit paired with a sexy see-through couture skirt. And, of course, on Thursday, photos from her cover shoot with the magazine were released and she was wearing, um, nothing at all.
