Ever since Keeping Up With the Kardashians debuted eight years ago, Kourtney Kardashian's boyfriend Scott Disick has been part of the reality family. Lord Disick — as he likes to refer to himself — is the hardest-partying one among the selfie-loving family, but he's been there for most of the vacations, the red carpets, and the family dramas nonetheless.
But not anymore. After years of tolerating his antics, Kourtney has kicked out her partner of nine years and the father of her three children, following the release of photos that showed him letting loose on a yacht in the South of France, alongside his ex-girlfriend Chloe Bartoli.
They have broken up before, so there's no guarantee they won't reunite. Either way, take a look back at what's brought them to this point.
2006: Scott and Kourtney meet at the home of Girls Gone Wild creator Joe Francis. She later insists that she didn't fall in love right off the bat. "I just thought he was so annoying," she says on one of their shows. "He was four years younger, he lived in New York, he didn't have a job." They eventually begin dating anyway.
October 14, 2007: A new reality show called Keeping Up With the Kardashians debuts. Kourtney and Scott have plenty of ups and downs, including her discovery that he's exchanging texts with a woman listed as "my wife" in his contact list, him drinking too much, and her family's disapproval of him.
Early 2009: The reality stars break up, but reconcile by the time she discovers she's pregnant.
December 14, 2009 Kourtney and Scott's son, Mason, is born in L.A.
February 2010: A Keeping Up With the Kardashians episode shows Scott drinking excessively during a family trip to Las Vegas for Kim's birthday. His drunken antics included him stuffing money into a restaurant waiter's mouth while Keeping Up With the Kardashians cameras roll.
August 1, 2010: On an episode of Kourtney & Khloé Take Miami, Scott has an alcohol-fueled meltdown and ends up in the hospital. Sources confirm to the Kardashians's home network that the incident prompted him to undergo out-patient rehab treatment and counseling for "psychological issues and alcoholism." The two split, but decided to try again after he gave up drinking and attended counseling.
April 3, 2011: The season finale of Kourtney and Kim Take New York features Scott deciding to propose to his girlfriend of five years (give or take a few breakups). Unfortunately for him — and for her mom, Kris Jenner, who's always wanted Kourtney to marry — Kourtney shoots down the idea. "I just feel like right now I'm happy with the way things are," she says.
The two would never embrace the idea of marriage. As recently as January 2015, Scott declared it wasn't happening in the foreseeable future. "If it's not broke don't fix it — we're happy the way it is," he told People. That's the same line he offered to Ryan Seacrest during an April 2013 interview.
July 8, 2012: Even without wedding rings, Kourtney and Scott continue living as a family, welcoming a daughter, Penelope.
November 2013: Scott's mom, Bonnie, dies at 63 after a lengthy illness. The reality star, who had a close relationship with his mom, is heartbroken and he turns to Kourtney for support. The couple heads to the Dominican Republic for a relaxing vacation after the funeral. Sadly, Scott's father, Jeffrey, would die less than three months after his mother.
March 2014: Kourtney and Scott seem to be in a good place, when she refers to him as "an amazing partner" in Mini magazine after being asked how she manages two children and a career. Only three months after that, the family would announce that one more little Disick was on the way.
November 2014: Scott parties hard on an episode of Kourtney & Khloé Take the Hamptons, so hard, in fact, that he decides to return to rehab for treatment of alcoholism, but leaves after a few days.
December 14, 2014: The pair welcome a third child, son Reign.
March 2015: Scott enters a rehab in Costa Rica for, sadly, alcoholism once again. "I realize my issues are bigger than me and I'm ready to truly remedy this struggle I continue to battle," he said in a statement released by the facility. The stay follows a TMZ report that he was "stumbling around drunk" after an appearance in Atlantic City. The reality star leaves after a week, though, and promises to go back later when he wants to "get some more treatments."
July 2015: Kourtney spends the holiday weekend with the kids in Malibu, while Scott, um, didn't. "When he's sober he's actually a great dad," a source tells Us Weekly. "This was an escape for him, a way out. Kourtney is flipping out and going crazy and says she's done with him, but they’ve been through this before. He just hasn't publicly embarrassed her like this and to this level. She says it's over, but I know they will end up getting back together for the kids and the show."
However, E! News reports that it's worse than that.
"Scott has been running around saying he's single," adds a source. "Kourtney dumped him after she saw the pics [in Monte Carlo] and he hasn't been home after a month-long party binge."
Do you think their love story has ended for good?
