Though Super Bowl weekend seems to be all about Beyonce, Kate Upton descended on New Orleans Saturday – and she's arguably the hottest female in town who isn't holding a microphone.
The model beauty is making the Big Easy rounds to promote her Mercedes Benz Super Bowl ad spot, already a viral sensation thanks to its soapy goodness.
We caught up with her in the French Quarter to talk game day behavior and self-discipline in one of the country's most famous food cities.
Some gals believe in setting boundaries for watching the game, like no trash talking cheerleaders or commenting on uniform colors. Do you have any rules?
I come from a family of sports fanatics. I grew up watching football, basketball, baseball … I don’t really know there’s an etiquette. Something really [important] is to always think before you comment. Or scream.
Super Bowl Sunday is definitely a cheat day. Are you going to allow yourself anything decadent?
It totally sucks but I have to work on Monday so I can't. I have to act like a model.
That's devastating. If you could try one thing, what would it be?
What would you pick for me?
The beignets are pretty famous.
What is that?
It’s almost like funnel cake, but its powdered sugar on pastry, almost like toast.
Why would you tell me that? I don’t want to hear that.
Sorry, Kate. Back to the ad spot, we heard you don't actually own a car.
I live in New York City! I wouldn’t know where to put it. If I had one, it would be a Mercedes.
Work is going well. The GQ cover, you’re doing all sorts of editorial and some high fashion. Isn’t acting part of the plan?
You know, I’m really lucky in my modeling career and I don’t want to rush anything. I’m proud of my path, I’m going to keep taking my classes and hopefully find a role I really love.
We hope she finds a role she loves as well – as long as its not deep fried and covered in powdered sugar. Watch the full Mercedes Benz Super Bowl Spot here.
