Kanye West’s Top 5 Quotes He’s Said About Himself

Kanye West has been known to speak very highly of himself, and we're rounding out the top five quotes he's ever said about himself. He revealed in Interview magazine's February 2014 issue that he considered himself somewhat of a child prodigy.

"I'm a trained fine artist," he said. "I went to art school from the time I was five years old. I was, like, a prodigy out of Chicago."

Then there was the time he compared himself to some of the greatest minds of all time. "I am Warhol! I am the number one most impactful artist of our generation," he said during a radio interview on "Sway in the Morning" in November. "I am Shakespeare in the flesh. Walt Disney, Nike, Google. Now who's going to be the Medici family and stand up and let me create more?"

He also appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" in October and referred to himself as a genius … and not the kind you'd find at the Apple store. "For me to say I wasn't a genius, I would just be lying to you and to myself."

The 36-year-old hasn't spoken only about his creativity and intelligence, he also told the New York Times in June 2013 about just how powerful he is. "I am so credible and so influential and so relevant that I will change things."
