Justin Bieber may be a changed man
— if you believe his big apology tour — but he still can't escape the past.
The Canadian crooner pled guilty to simple assault in a Stratford, Ontario, court on Thursday stemming from an altercation in his hometown last August. The singer was arrested after driving his ATV into a minivan with paparazzi that led to a physical altercation with one of the men.

Bieber's attorney Howard Weitzman confirmed to The Insider With Yahoo that the 21-year-old singer appeared in court via video conference from his office in Los Angeles. According to a local reporter in the courtroom, Bieber was "standing politely with his hands folded, wearing white dress shirt, in front of two dreary paintings."
By pleading guilty to assault, that turned into an absolute discharge and his initial charge of dangerous driving was also dropped. Justin has to pay a fine of $750 for careless driving.
Last year, Bieber was back home with then-girlfriend Selena Gomez when the incident occurred. "There should be laws against what I just experienced. We should have learned from the death of Princess Diana," he tweeted at the time, adding, "I don't have a problem with Paparazzi but when they act recklessly they put us all in danger."
Selena has yet to comment on the situation, but we're sure she's happy for her ex that the charges are dropped. After all, they are amicable and everything.
