Penélope Cruz and Rooney Mara haven't faced off for an Oscar — yet.
But today the actresses hit the ring together for the latest Fashion Faceoff.
What they wore: A white lace gown from Givenchy Couture's Fall 2010 collection.
When they wore it: Cruz debuted the dress four months after the birth of her son, Leo, with Javier Bardem, and long before she became pregnant with her second child, as she appeared at the premiere of "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" in London in May 2011. Mara brought the look back at the 2013 Met Gala in New York on May 6.

How they styled it: For Cruz, 39, the dress took center stage, as she added only light makeup and a gold clutch, and left her long tresses loose. Meanwhile, the 28-year-old "Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" star went with a slightly different, more daring version of the garment, with detailing on the shoulders. Mara played up her lipstick and pulled her hair back into a sleek ponytail to reflect the Met Gala's punk theme.
Judge's scorecard: While Mara's look is more dramatic, it doesn't mean she steals the show. In fact, white is definitely one of Cruz's best colors, and the minimalist look suits her.
