Dina Lohan should consider herself a lucky woman.
The troubled mother of actress Lindsay Lohan made her case in court Tuesday morning and got off relatively unscathed. Dina pleaded "not guilty" to the charge of Driving While Intoxicated stemming from an arrest on September 12.
In return, she successfully avoided jail time. The judge in the Nassau County courtroom suspended her driver's license and ordered probation instead since she had no previous criminal record and the incident was a first offense.
Dina, 50, was pulled over for allegedly speeding on Long Island's Northern State Parkway, going 77 mph in a 55 mph zone. A blood alcohol concentration breath test was administered on the scene and she blew a .20 percent, more than twice the legal limit. In court on Tuesday, prosecutors claimed she in fact blew more than three times the legal limit.
Dina arrived to and left court in a Rolls Royce.
Outside the court, her attorney Mark Heller told the media, "Dina is like every other single mother raising kids while the father is in jail going through financial troubles."
Ummm ... OK?
