Another year, another Sexiest Man Alive. And, per usual, there is backlash over People's decision.
The wrong Chris was given the magazine's top honor this November according to everyone on Twitter. Chris Pratt fans are livid that the Guardians of the Galaxy star lost the cover to Thor's Chris Hemsworth.
Think we're exaggerating? Here are just a few of the distraught tweets:
About to start a letter writing campaign to People for the rightful Chris, Chris Pratt, to claim his title

Waiting for the revote to confirm that Chris Pratt is, in fact, the sexiest man alive..

While there is no denying Hemsworth, 31, is easy on the eyes — and The Avengers star has a slew of heavy box office hitters coming your way in 2015 — it's clear that 2014 belonged to Anna Faris's husband. And come on… Pratt, 35, also has the hot new dad thing going on. Considering People went with the "family man" angle for Hemsworth, that could have been applied to the other Chris as well.
Playing devil's advocate, one reason Pratt may not have been picked is that his good-looking mug is currently on newsstands as one of GQ's Men of the Year. It would be unusual for a celeb to sit down for a cover feature for two different mag being released in the same month.
If it makes any of you Pratt fans feel better, you are in good company with those who love Ryan Gosling. The dreamy 34-year-old actor has never been dubbed People's Sexiest Man Alive.
But, this seems to be Gosling's choice. Whoever is picked to receive the honor has to agree to an interview with the mag, and according to The Wrap, the actor will never play ball and has repeatedly turned down the title.
“They tried a few times, especially during his huge year in 2011," an individual close to the cover negotiations said. Multiple efforts were reportedly squashed by the actor's team. "The consensus was he's too serious for it, too artsy."
We assume then that Gosling couldn't care less that he's been passed up yet again. And as for Chris Pratt? Well, he has more important things to do like tweeting to help an 11-year-old boy battle brain cancer. Yep, he is definitely the Sexiest Man Alive in our hearts.
