Bruce Jenner Speaks for the First Time in New Diane Sawyer Interview Promo

Bruce Jenner's highly anticipated interview

which will cover the Olympic champion's decision to transition into a woman is less than two weeks away.

ABC has released a new clip in which we hear the 65-year-old speak for the first time.

“My whole life has been getting me ready for this,” Jenner whose face is concealed by Sawyer says in the 16-second promo. According to a press release, the "far-ranging" interview will cover a variety of topics.

ABC teased the special with a voiceover saying "the journey, the decisions, the future" will all be discussed in the two-hour special, airing on April 24.

"Bruce's primary goal is to bring awareness to this issue in order to help others in the transgender community," a source told People, adding that Jenner "wants this to be taken seriously so that his situation can have the most positive impact on society's perception of the transgender community."
