Britney Spears Brings Her A Game to Teen Choice 2015, Plus 4 Other Memorable Moments

The Teen Choice Awards give Hollywood A-listers the chance to let down their hair, shorten their skirts, and thank all the young fans who helped them get onto that list in the first place — and no one knows how to make the most of an award show better than Britney Spears. So it came as no surprise that the newly single singer, who has been a mainstay at Teen Choice pretty much since its inception way back before the millennium (in 1999), turned heads during her time on stage.
While it's true that the Aug. 16 ceremony was, by some standards, rather tame, it still packed in plenty of memorable moments (both Britney-related and not) — which is why we've rounded up five of the best and brightest for you here...
1. Britney Makes a Bold Style Choice to Showcase Her Hot Bod
It seems that Britney has really embraced her body post-split, and she wants the world to embrace it with her. To accept her Candie's Choice Style Icon award, the Las Vegas resident performer rocked a sheer, glittery frock with a plunging V-neck that showcased some serious cleavage. She paired her dramatic dress with mutli-colored tresses and sky-high heels.

"This is amazing! Hi! Thank you to Candies and to Teen Choice Awards for this style icon award. It really means a lot to me," she began. "Fashion has always been something that I've loved to experiment with. It gives us all a chance to express ourselves and our personalities and shine in our own way. To all those out there, be fearless in your choices and don't be afraid to be yourself.
The bubbly blonde wrapped up her speech by giving some love back to her family and fans. "Last but not least, thank you to all my fans. Your support means everything to me," she mused before adding, "Jayden and Preston and Lexie, I love you very much." (As a refresher: Jayden James and Shawn Preston are her two sons and Lexie is the daughter of her brother, Bryan.)

But this isn't the first time the "Pretty Girls" singer has flaunted her toned body since her split from Charlie Ebersol. Just one day prior, she posted a sexy snap to Instagram. In the pic, Spears strikes an impressive handstand while Lexie looks on. From what we can tell, the little girl is impressed — and we are too!
2.Ellen's Inspiring (and Romantic) Speech
Britney was hardly the only celebrity to take the opportunity to leave a lasting impression. Ellen DeGeneres delivered a touching speech while accepting the award for Choice Comedian.
"It feels good to be chosen, but there was a time in my life where I was not chosen — I was the opposite of chosen because I was different," she said. "And I think I want to make sure that everyone knows that what makes you different right now makes you stand out later in life, so you should be proud of being different. You should be proud of who you are."

DeGeneres, who made history when she came out nearly 20 years ago, also used her moment in the Teen Choice spotlight to thank her wife, Portia de Rossi. "And what an amazing day this is. This is my seven-year wedding anniversary," she said as she looked at her partner. "So happy anniversary. It's yours, too."
3. John Stamos Makes First TV Appearance Since Getting Out of Rehab
Less than one month since leaving a two-week stint in treatment, John Stamos made his first post-rehab TV appearance looking rested and ready to take on the world.

"I finally made it into the Teen Choice Awards and I'm 51 — that's like three teenagers. Do the math," he joked. The TV vet went on to enjoy some good-hearted banter with his his Grandfathered co-star, Josh Peck, who mocked Stamos's attire and catchphrases from his time playing Uncle Jesse on Full House. It was a brief foray back into the limelight for the seasoned actor, but he made the most of those few minutes. Have mercy, indeed.
4. Vin Diesel Gives a Shout Out to Meadow Walker
While standing on the stage with the cast of Furious 7, which won Choice Movie: Action/Adventure, Vin Diesel spoke from his heart about their late co-star Paul Walker and went one step further to give a shout out to Walker's daughter, Meadow.

"I can't stand here and be rewarded like this without talking about somebody very important to us. One of the best lessons in our lives is the fact that we had the opportunity call Pablo our brother," Diesel stated. "Paul Walker is here in spirit with us."
Diesel then moved on Meadow, who happens to be his goddaughter. "And since this is a Teen Choice Award, you beautiful teens, there is one teen in the audience that is a part of the family that kept us going," he said. "It's Paul Walker's family — his parents and his brothers — that kept us encouraged while we were making Furious 7, but there is one very, very special teen here, and her name is Meadow Walker." The cameras didn't show Meadow's reaction, but we're sure she felt very loved indeed.

5. Nina Dobrev Opens Up About Life Post-Vampire Diaries
It's been a few months since Nina Dobrev announced she was leaving the show that made her a superstar, but the 26-year-old actress made it clear that the Vampire Diaries would always hold a special place in her heart. While accepting the award for Choice TV Actress: Sci-Fi/Fantasy, the brunette beauty jokingly put in a pair of vampire fangs and then yanked them out.

"That's right. I don't need these anymore," she laughed before getting decidedly more serious. "The last few months have been a pretty big change for me. Change: It's a scary word, or at least I used to think that because it meant new beginnings, new beginnings with a future that was unknown. But change is necessary— necessary for you to grow and to learn and to better yourself because everything in life comes to an end. And as this chapter in my life comes to an end, I look back at it with a grateful heart, and I smile because just like my character Elena, I started the show as a young girl and together, we grew up."
She continued on, explaining, "We've grown up and over the last six years, we've become women." Calling those six years "incredible," she thanked her fans for joining her for the journey and made sure to end on a high note. "Remember, change is coming, so hold and enjoy the ride. It's going to be fun!"
