As Bobbi Kristina Brown continues to fight for her life at an Atlanta hospital, her family planned a candlelight vigil in her honor. Friends and family gathered at the Amphitheater at Riverdale Town Center outside of Atlanta Monday night.
Bobbi Kristina's cousin Jerod Brown posted information for the vigil, which was open to the public, on his Facebook page.
Reports about Bobbi Kristina's condition have been conflicting. Though last week she was able to open her eyes, doctors have cautioned that this is neither a good nor a bad sign. She has been on life support since Jan. 31, when her self-proclaimed husband Nick Gordon found her face down in a bathtub at her home.
Over the weekend, Atlanta police launched a formal investigation into what led to Bobbi Kristina's near drowning. Gordon — who Bobby Brown claims was never officially married to his daughter — has been fingered by police as the target of the investigation. According to reports, Bobbi Kristina had several injuries unrelated to the bathtub incident which nearly killed her.
Many of Bobbi Kristina's relatives, including her father Bobby Brown and grandmother Cissy Houston, have flown to Atlanta to be by her side.
