Megan Fox on Surgery Rumors: ‘My Lips Are My Lips’

Gorgeous Megan Fox has some words for those who question the authenticity of her famously perfect face. The "Jonah Hex" star graces the cover of the June issue of Allure, where she speaks her mind to the beauty-focused mag on everything from tanning to her childhood unibrow to rumors of plastic surgery.

Fox, who in recent months has shown off a more natural skin hue, tellsthe magazine she'll never tan again, blaming her desire to impress her"Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" director for an unhealthy tanning binge.

"I had been tanning a lot so that Michael [Bay] would be happy with myskin tone. Every spare moment of sun that was outside, I had to be init," the 24-year-old actress laments. "It's not going to happen againbecause of the damage and the possible skin cancer."

On the subject of plastic surgery, Fox speaks only in general terms: "I would encourage anyone to first speak with a therapist, to try and figure out where this want comes from, because a lot of times it's not related to your teeth or your nose or your chin -- the surgery is not going to alleviate that insecurity for you. If then you feel [like] this is something [you] want to do, then do it. It's amazing that we have the technology to do the stuff that we do."

While Fox remained vague about plastic surgery, she did speak directly to longstanding rumors that her lips are enhanced. Pointing to a 2002 photo in Allure's "Style Timeline" feature, which shows Fox in various makeup and hairstyles over the years, Fox says firmly: "I will say for people who question the authenticity of my lips, you can clearly see that my lips are my lips." (Some websites would beg to differ on this question.)

Megan Fox's Makeup Secrets Revealed

Fox has copped to some insecurity about her looks in the past (and has even employed a thumb double for her appearance in a Super Bowl ad), but this time she gave Allure some hard evidence in the form of a 1995 photo of herself in elementary school, complete with a very obvious unibrow. Saying she "always hated" the so-called imperfection, Fox has some perspective on it now, thanks to folklore, she tells Allure: "It's an old wives' tale that babies born with unibrows are destined to be famous, and when I was born, my grandmother looked at my mom and said, "'This baby's going to be famous.'"
