The plot revolves around Timmy Yoon, the manager of the last active Blockbuster store in the world, and the people who work with him. After learning that the entire video rental store chain is shutting down, Timmy and his co-workers make the last-ditch effort to save their branch. Season 1 premiered on November 3, 2022. Is there a Blockbuster Season 2 release date?
There is no Blockbuster Season 2 release date as the series was canceled after one season.
In December 2022, less than a month after the series premiere, Netflix announced that Blockbuster had been canceled. The series garnered a poor response from the critics and currently has a 23% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The audience response reportedly wasn’t encouraging either. All these factors likely contributed to Netflix’s decision not to renew the show for Season 2.
