BLISSFIELD — The Blissfield Model Railroad Club continues to move full steam ahead with its monthly open house and club layout tours.

The club will be operating its entire 2,300-square-foot model display Saturday and Sunday, March 26 and 27. The club is at 109 E. Adrian St. (U.S. 223) near downtown Blissfield. It is on one level and is handicap accessible. A large steam engine sign is visible to motorists traveling along U.S. 223.

Open house hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days. Visitors are welcome to drop in anytime during those hours. Reservations are not required.

“Several trains of various railroads will be operating,” a news release from the club said. “Admission is free at all events. Donations to our layout maintenance fund are needed and appreciated.”

Parking is directly in front of the building with overflow parking behind the clubhouse along North Lane Street.

The BMRC’s HO-scale layout is based on the Chesapeake and Ohio and Clinchfield railroads in Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Virginia and Tennessee in the Appalachian Mountains.

Those with questions can call the club at 517-486-0404. If there is no answer, leave a message with a return telephone number and a club member will return the call.
