“Bless This Mess” fans, get ready for a little bathroom humor — literally — on the Season 2 premiere of the Lake Bell-Dax Shepard barnyard comedy.
Watch an exclusive clip above of the season premiere above, in which Mike (Shepard) walks in on Rudy (Ed Begley Jr.) in the barn brushing his teeth… on the toilet. There is also a goat present. Don’t ask.
The rest of the episode finds Mike and Rio (Bell) hosting the big event of college football season: the town’s Huskers kickoff party. And as could be expected based off of Season 1, no one in Bucksnort (yes, that’s the name of the town) believes they can pull it off.
In its freshman season, the newlyweds dropped everything, including their jobs and an overbearing mother-in-law, to make the move from big city New York to rural Nebraska in search of a simpler life — but they soon realized that becoming farmers isn’t as easy as they thought.
Along with Bell, Shepard and Begley, Pam Grier and JT Neal also star in the series as Constance and Jacob.
The series comes from 20th Century Fox Television and ABC Studios. Bell and Elizabeth Meriwether are co-creators and executive producers, with Shepard, Jake Kasdan, Melvin Mar, Erin O’Malley and Katherine Pope also executive producing.
Season 2 of “Bless This Mess” premieres Tuesday, Sept. 24 (8:30-9:00 pm EDT), on ABC.
