Fans of Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have been on high alert since the duo spent New Year’s Eve apart and they are wondering what in the world is going with their marriage. Ever since they began dating in 2015, they’ve been each other’s biggest cheerleaders, but lately they seem eerily silent about each other.

His Instagram Story didn’t even feature a repost from his wife’s page. Over on Stefani’s Instagram account, it’s the same situation — lots of her exciting news, but nothing about Shelton.

The dynamic duo both has big career events happening — and perhaps they are going through a rough patch — but Stefani sent a subtle signal that things are OK in their household that some people might have missed. On Friday, Jan. 12, the “Hollaback Girl” singer was inducted into the Orange County, California Hall of Fame — and guess who was there with her? Her husband. She shared a video for everyone to see of Shelton holding her hand as she entered the ceremony to receive her honor. She looked happy about the award and to be with her man on such a big day.

The rumors about their marriage started when an insider divulged to Life & Style that their relationship was “definitely in trouble” after spending the New Year’s Eve holiday apart. “Lately, they’ve been at odds about everything from career decisions and the parenting of her three boys to where they spend most of their time,” they said. “The tension continues to grow, and Blake and Gwen are drifting apart as a result.” They also claimed that Shelton’s decision to stop drinking was “a gesture to appease his wife” who reportedly “doesn’t really like him boozing.”

So, it might be safe to say that things are a bit choppy behind the scenes and that the “honeymoon period” of their almost three-year marriage is over. While the source believes that “the writing seems to be on the wall for their marriage,” Stefani’s Instagram video is telling a different story.
