Blake Mills to Perform Live on Instagram with Pitchfork

Pitchfork is pleased to announce that Blake Mills will play a stay-at-home concert that will broadcast live on Instagram this Friday at 8 p.m. Eastern. You can tune in at Pitchfork’s Instagram.

The performance will be part of a series of concert sessions that take place on our Instagram every Wednesday and Friday, and viewers will be able to donate to the charity of the artist’s choosing should they want to do so.

For this Friday’s livestream, Mills has chosen to spotlight United for Respect (UFR), a multiracial national nonprofit organization that fights for policy changes to improve the lives of people working in retail. UFR is working to raise the minimum wage and also win a fair workweek, paid family leave and sick time, overtime pay, equal pay, and workplaces free from sexual harassment.

Upcoming artists in the concert series include Nick Hakim and Princess Nokia. Stay tuned to our IG and site where more details will be announced the day before each live stream.

Tomorrow, the same day as his livestream, Blake Mills is releasing his new album Mutable Set. Check out Pitchfork’s Best New Track review of the record’s “Vanishing Twin.”
