This weekend, the Legacy Fighting Alliance will bring Mixed Martial Arts to El Paso for some exciting bouts.

Viva! El Paso will have its last weekend of performances of the colorful history of El Paso. And free music concerts continue at the El Paso convention center and El Paso area park series.

And those looking to plan a wedding, quinceañera or sweet 16 should make plans for the annual expo with dozens of vendors for party planning. The event will be Sunday at the El Paso convention center.

Here is a closer look at events for this weekend in El Paso.

MMA event at Southwest University Park

Legacy Fighting Alliance, Ring Side Ticket, and Leg up Entertainment are bringing the first MMA event Friday at Southwest University Park. The main event, part of the LFA 164 Texas Tour, will feature a women's flyweight title fight between former LFA champion Sabina "Colombian Queen" Mazo and Dana White's Contender Series alum Sandra "Peruvian Zombie" Lavado in the Bud Light octagon. Local fighters Travis Arrellano and James Pleasant II will also be competing in the octagon. Music at the Park

The Music at the Park series continues Friday from 6 to 9:30 p.m. at Joey Barraza and Vino Park, 11270 McCombs St. All the free outdoor music events will include live bands and performances, interactive activities, vendors, informational booths, giveaways and food trucks.

Alfresco! Fridays continue Downtown

Alfresco! Fridays will feature Whiskey River Band Friday, July 28 from 7 to 9 p.m., at the El Paso convention center plaza. The free summer concert is scheduled every Friday through Aug. 25. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Guests may not bring outside food, drinks or pets but are encouraged to bring foldable lawn chairs.

Last weekend of Viva! El Paso

Viva! El Paso fans can enjoy the last weekend of performances Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. at McKelligon Canyon Amphitheatre. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for groups, members of the military and children. Tickets can be purchased at the Plaza Theatre box office Downtown at 125 W. Mills Ave. or on the day of the show at the McKelligon Canyon Amphitheatre box office. For information, vivaelpaso.org or call 915-276-5681.

Dream Big Parade of Homes

El Pasoans looking to get home-building ideas can check out five amazing $1 million-plus homes in the Dream Big Parade of Homes, open weekends through Aug. 6 in River View Estates in the Upper Valley. Hours are Friday 4 to 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets for the parade of homes are $12, plus fees, and are only available online via eventzilla.net The parade is sponsored by the El Paso Association of Builders and Cadence Lending Group.

Blake Lynch brings comedy tour to Abraham Chavez Theatre

Bridal, Quince and Sweet 16 Expo

Elegant Penguin Enterprises presents the 17th Annual Summer Days of Remembrance, El Paso’s Bridal, Quince & Sweet 16 Expo from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the El Paso Convention Center. Find plenty of vendors to assist with the special occasion. Admission is $5, children 12 and under free. Door proceeds to benefit the Child Crisis Center of El Paso.
