The chaos never ends in Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ home. The actress, who proudly welcomed her third child alongside her husband in 2019, is admittedly still adjusting to her new life as a mother-of-three. While appearing on Good Morning America to promote her new film The Rhythm Section, the 38-year-old got candid about the craziness that ensues while raising three children under the age of 6.

“It’s like going from two to 3,000,” she said of going from being a mother-of-two to now three. “I mean, we have so many children. It’s pretty crazy. We’re outnumbered, and it’s a lot.”

Lively also shares 5-year-old James and 3-year-old Inez with Reynolds, but admitted that there has been a drastic change in her household since adding a new baby into the mix.

“People say going from two to three, it’s the same, you know, it’s kind of easy — those people do not have three kids,” she laughed. “It is real crazy. But I’m here.”

But even with all of the chaos, she couldn’t be more up for the challenge. The actress previously told Marie Claire U.K. that she’s “always been innately maternal my whole life,” which has likely aided in her new role as a mom of three young kids.

And while there’s plenty of action going on behind closed doors in Lively’s home, the odds of fans getting an inside look at her three children at slim. Back in 2016, she opened up about wanting to give her children a life like she had growing up — and that includes privacy. “We can’t really throw her into the lion’s den that is L.A.,” she said of her daughter James. “Not that we really want to.”

“Our child hasn’t had the opportunity to choose whether or not she wants her personal life to be public or not,” she added. “So in order to give her as much normality as possible, we want her to have a childhood like we had.”
