Blake Lively Shares a Kiss with Justin Baldoni While Filming “It Ends with Us ”in N.J. — See the Photos!

'It Ends with Us' is scheduled to be released in theaters on June 21

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni are getting close on set.

The costars were photographed sharing a kiss while filming their upcoming romance/drama film It Ends with Us in Jersey City, New Jersey, on Friday evening.

Lively, 36, was captured on set in character as Lily Bloom, sporting red hair and dressed in a shirt with oversized sleeves, a long skirt and a pair of boots.

Baldoni, 39, meanwhile, portrayed his role of Ryle Kincaid in a black sweater, dark pants and dress shoes.

Based on the 2016 novel of the same name by author Colleen Hoover, the film will follow Lily, a woman who moves to a new city following college graduation, where she meets and falls in love with Ryle.

Her newfound bliss isn't long-lived, however, as an ex-lover returns and causes chaos within her world.

Alongside Lively and Baldoni, It Ends with Us also stars Jenny Slate, who plays Ryle's sister, while Brandon Sklenar features as Lily's first love, Atlas Corrigan.

The Jane the Virgin alum serves as a director on the project, while the Gossip Girl star is executive producing.

In a January 2023 Instagram video, Hoover spoke about her novel's film adaptation, stating, "I think that Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively have what it takes to bring these characters to life, and I cannot wait for you guys to see that happen,"

"I'm so excited, y'all. I can't even wrap my mind around this," the author added.

Though the film was originally set to hit theaters on Feb. 9, 2024, PEOPLE confirmed earlier this week that the premiere has been pushed back a few months.

It Ends with Us will now be released in theaters on June 21, 2024.
