On Wednesday, December 6, 2023, YG Entertainment officially released a statement regarding BLACKPINK renewing their contract as a whole group with the entertainment agency. The official statement reads, “After careful discussions with Blackpink, we have signed an exclusive contract for the group’s activities based on deep trust.”
YG Entertainment’s general producer Yang Hyun-suk has also opened up about the extended contract between the agency and the girl K-pop band. As per Naver, he said, “We are happy to continue our relationship with BLACKPINK….BLACKPINK will continue to do its best to shine even brighter in the global music market as an artist representing not only our company but also K-pop….And we send our unwavering support and faith to their actions.”
BLACKPINK members have established themselves as some of the world’s biggest K-pop idols, making every song of their group a mega-hit since they debuted back in 2016.
