Blackhawks grant wish for 14-year-old girl with cystic fibrosis
Megan Hill, who is clearly a fan of winners, picked the Chicago Blackhawks to be her team in 2015 after watching the club win the Stanley Cup.
Hill, 14, loves the sport of hockey, and as she battles cystic fibrosis, the Make-A-Wish foundation helped grant her wish of getting the full Blackhawks player experience.
Hill got to take part in the Hawks’ practice session prior to the team’s contest against the San Jose Sharks on Thursday, which included taking some shots on netminder Corey Crawford — and sneaking this wicked wrister right by him.

Talking about the experience, Hill was full of smiles and even got a little emotional describing what the moments on the ice with the club meant to her.

But the fun didn’t stop there. She was also able to walk the red carpet with other members of the team before puck-drop.

Blackhawks star Patrick Kane talked to NHL.com about what it meant to him and the team to have Hill with them for the day.
“Obviously, the Blackhawks do a great job with Make-A-Wish foundation to get some kids on the ice with us or different things throughout the year.”
“We always welcome that. It kind of brings us back down to earth a little bit and you realize how fragile life is. It also brings us a bit of excitement. It's always good to have a couple of smiles on faces, so it was great to have her out there.”
Additionally, Hill met 2018 Olympic gold medalist and U.S. Women’s National Team star Kendall Coyne after the practice, according to NHL.com.
It was a day that Hill and the Blackhawks will certainly remember.
