Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is out now, and while there are plenty of team-ups in the film between characters, there are still some dream team-ups that the cast of the film would like to see in the future.
In a new video interview with the cast and crew of Wakanda Forever, they were asked which characters in the film they’d like to see in a dream team-up. “I would love to see General Okoye and Attuma, work side-by-side,” said Alex Livinalli, who plays Attuma in the film. “Who would be dumb enough to mess with Okoye and Attuma at the same time?”
As for Lupita Nyong’o, she would also love to see another Wakanda and Talokan team-up. “I would love to see M’Baku and Namora, she’s small and he’s large, and they’re both skilled, one in the water and one on land.”
Director Ryan Coogler took a more performance-based route with his answer, saying that Letitia Wright’s Shuri and Tenoch Huerta’s Namor were so good together, that it was fun directing the pair of them together.
“There’s so many good scenes between characters from my perspective, that I enjoy directing. Shuri’s scenes with Namor are really cool and really strong. They kind of speak the same acting language, it was great to watch them work together, and watch the chemistry and electricity between them.”
Wakanda Forever saw the return of most of Black Panther‘s original main cast, including Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia, Danai Gurira as Okoye, Angela Bassett as Ramonda, Martin Freeman as Everett K. Ross, Letitia Wright as Shuri, Winston Duke as M’Baku, and Florence Kasumba as Ayo. Joining them were franchise newcomers Tenoch Huerta (Narcos: Mexico) as Namor, Michaela Coel (I May Destroy You) as Aneka, Mabel Cadena as Namora, and Alex Livinalli as Attuma.
Ryan Coogler once again directed Black Panther: Wakanda Forever from a screenplay he co-wrote with Joe Robert Cole. It is being produced by Kevin Feige and Nate Moore, with Victoria Alonso, Louis D’Esposito, and Barry Waldman serving as executive producers.
