First Look at Jamie Foxx in ‘Back In Action’

Fans were shocked when Oscar winner Jamie Foxx suffered a “medical complication” while filming the Netflix movie “Back In Action” in Atlanta. After a difficult rehab, the actor has recently returned to the spotlight. Now, we’re getting our first look at the film starring Foxx and Cameron Diaz. It’s scheduled for release Nov. 15.

Per the official synopsis: “Years after giving up life as CIA spies to start a family, Emily and Matt find themselves dragged back into the world of espionage when their cover is blown.”

It sounds like a really fun, uncomplicated movie that audiences can enjoy.

Aldis Hodge Debuts as Popular Detective in Prime Video’s ‘Cross’ Trailer

Aldis Hodgefollows in the footsteps of Morgan Freeman and Tyler Perry, taking on the role of Detective Alex Cross in Prime Video’s new series. Though Season 1 doesn’t premiere until later this year, it’s already been renewed for Season 2, so feel free to get fully invested in this psychological thriller.

‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’ Renewed, But Is Donald Glover Back?

The good news is Prime Video’s fascinating drama “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” is coming back for Season 2. The bad news is it doesn’t look like Donald Glover and Maya Erskine will return for a second go round.

Does this mean we’ll be following a new couple in Season 2? If so, can we at least get an update on John and Jane, because Season 1 ended on a major cliffhanger.

If we are getting new spies in Season 2, will the tone be the same without Glover directly involved, or will the show become a more traditional action series? Guess we’ll have to wait for a message from Hi Hi to get any answers.

Netflix Chronicles Simone Biles’ Olympic Journey in New Doc

Ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics, fans will get an inside look at how gymnastics legend Simone Biles fought her way back to the top of the podium in the new Netflix docuseries, “Simone Biles: Rising.” As you would expect, the four episode series premieres in July, just in time for the Summer Olympics.

For someone of her stature to withdraw from the Olympics so she can focus on her mental health is extremely brave and we should celebrate her for that level of courage even more than we celebrate all her gold medals.

‘Wicked’ Trailer Offers First Glimpse of Cynthia Erivo’s Elphaba

“Wicked” superfans our time has finally come. The first full trailer for the long-awaited film adaptation of the ridiculously “Popular” Broadway musical delivers the first look at Cynthia Erivo in all her green glory as Elphaba and pop superstar Ariana Grande as Glinda. In case you haven’t seen the musical an excessive number of times, it’s the story of Oz before Dorothy shows up. It reveals who’s really wicked and who’s not.

Seriously, fans have been waiting a very long time for this movie and we can’t wait to see Erivo belt out Elphaba’s signature show-stopper “Defying Gravity.”

“Wicked” flies into theaters Nov. 27. “Wicked Part Two” concludes the story on November 26, 2025.

We Could Finally Get ‘Ironheart’ in 2025

Marvel Studios’ long-delayed “Ironheart” series may finally be headed for our screens, as Disney confirmed its 2025 premiere during its upfronts presentation.

Yes, we know we’ve heard this before, but the studio debuted the trailer for advertisers, with stars Dominique Thorne and Anthony Ramos on hand to promote the series.

To refresh your memory, Riri Williams is a teenage genius at MIT who built her own Iron Man suit out of scraps. We met her in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” when Shuri and Ramonda defended her from Namor and Talokan.

Though we don’t have any details on the series, at the 2022 D23 Expo, Thorne and Ramos revealed that the story would be a battle between science and magic.

Will You Be Team Snoop on ‘The Voice?’

NBC’s popular singing competition is shaking things up once again and we really didn’t see this one coming. According to Variety, for Season 26 of the reality hit, Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé will join Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani in the big red coaches chairs.

We know what you’re thinking, but Snoop previously appeared on the show as mega mentor and he was really good. His years of experience in the music industry allowed him to offer singers from all genres insightful advice on song selection, stage presence and connecting with the audience. Of course, we’re all going to get our jokes off about what incentives he’ll be offering his team, but don’t sleep on Team Snoop. They should be an interesting group to watch.

If you’ve ever watched “Jeopardy” and couldn’t wait for them to get back to the movie and tv categories, this one’s for you. According to Variety, Prime Video is launching “Pop Culture Jeopardy” which focuses on “music, film, TV, stage, sports and more.”

That’s right, the normal people who don’t know obscure facts about ancient history and various classifications of trees will be able to feel like geniuses.
