BJ The Chicago Kid and Coco Jones are bringing soul music back to R&B with their duet, “Spend The Night.” Weeks after their single’s release, the pair have finally shared the visual for the feel-good collaboration.

Set in an old-fashioned diner, BJ gets lost in a romantic trance as he daydreams about the woman catching his attention, which happens to be the “ICU” sensation. Directed by Tajana Tokyo, the video showcases their infectious energy as the two enlist their respective friend groups to help decide who’s making the first move.

“Spend The Night” is the third single from BJ’s highly-anticipated new album, slated for release later this year. It followed “Liquor Store In The Sky” featuring Freddie Gibbs, and the LP’s lead record, “Forgot Your Name.”

When speaking on his duet with Jones and how it deviates from his norm, the crooner shared in a statement, “Music is like a journey, and with our new song, we’ve taken an exciting detour from our standard sounds. It’s an experimental experience. Sometimes, you have to wander off the beaten path to discover a whole new world of creativity.”

Jones added, “Working with BJ was such an awesome experience. I am always so inspired by artists who love what they do. I think this song, with our tones together, is something really special.”

BJ’s production partner and the visionary behind the album, Yeti Beats, shared that “Spend The Night” was inspired by classic soul duets and gushed over how BJ and Coco’s vocals compliment one another on the timeless jam.
