Bizarre 'Bachelorette' finale focuses on guy who refused to propose

Rachel got her happy ending on The Bachelorette finale when Bryan got down on one knee and proposed. But the real drama was with the guy who refused to propose.

Peter’s reluctance to get down on his knee seemed to be the only thing standing in the way of their happy ending. Over the last few episodes, Peter has made it clear that if he wasn’t ready to propose at the end of the show, he wasn’t going to ask Rachel for her hand in marriage. And during an extremely emotional final date, the two tried to hash out their differences.

It was an emotional roller coaster as both made their feelings clear for the millionth time. There was sadness, frustration, and even a little anger as the two struggled to compromise. Rachel was determined to leave the show engaged, and Peter was determined to do what his heart told him was right. And while they both clearly loved each other, the proposal (or lack thereof) would be a sticking point that neither were fully ready to concede.
