Bishme Cromartie came ever so close to winning “Project Runway” when he was last on the show back in season 17. Just how close was he? Well, he made it to the final four and assembled his full 10-look collection, but there was one last challenge before the end and that cost him his opportunity to actually show his collection. Going home too soon can be rough, but I can only imagine how tough it is to get so close to the end only to be denied at the very last minute. Cromartie was a man on a mission when he returned to the show for “All-Stars” in season 20, though. Click above to see all of his looks, ranked from worst to best.

Going into this year’s top four, Cromartie has by far the best track record in the competition. It started with the very first challenge in “Project Redemption,” where he had to improve on the design that got him his lowest score when he last competed. He got high marks from the judges for that effort. That was an emotionally grueling challenge for Cromartie, however, as it brought up painful memories of the death of his sister. He didn’t even seem to be sure if he should stay in the competition. But he persevered, and then proceeded to blow everyone away.

Out of the first nine challenges, he won two (“Below Decked Out” and “Freedom“), received three other high scores and didn’t receive any low scores. After that he came close to elimination in “Double Bind,” but none of his fellow competitors went nearly that long before getting on the judges’ bad side, making him the season’s most consistent designer by far, regardless of what happens in the end. So what do you think of Cromartie’s designs from season 20? Does he deserve to win “All-Stars”?
