Bryan “Birdman” Williams has revealed the backstory to his fallout with Gillie Da Kid during the rapper turned media personality’s time with Cash Money Records.

The mogul recently spoke with Wack 100 and detailed his gripes with the Million Dollaz Worth of Game co-host and the events that led to the dissolvement of their business relationship two decades ago.

Birdman claims that he never profited from Gillie during his time with Cash Money, as the rapper never released any albums or singles while with the label. “I ain’t never made a dollar off of Gillie,” the New Orleans native said.

“Not one dollar. I never put a record out with Gillie. I thought Gillie was fly, he had something with that little crew [Major Figgas], but I ain’t never made a dollar off Gillie. When he be running around with all that capping. I ain’t never made no money off you, ni**a. Stop all that cap-a** talking, ni**a. You not like that.”

Birdman also refuted Gillie’s claims that he wrote rhymes for various Cash Money artists, particularly Lil Wayne, during his tenure with the label, which lasted from the early ’00s until 2003. “And he for sure, ain’t never wrote one rhyme for Mula.”

Insisting that he has “no ill feelings” for Gillie, the former Big Tymers member accused the “Yeah That’s Us” artist of putting out “false” and “fake” rumors and information. He then questions the rapper’s street credibility, recalling an alleged encounter in which Gillie was accosted by fellow Philly rapper Beanie Sigel while in the company of Birdman and the Cash Money crew.

“We was in Philly at a store and we was shopping,” the 54-year-old began. “And Beanie [Sigel] come in the store, grabbed him, walked him outside. And he had a blicky on him. We all got blickies on us. I got 100 ni**as with me. But a ni**a brought him outside and a ni**a whoop-whooped and he ain’t doing nothing. I lost all respect for him and then I stopped f**king with him.”

Birdman’s statements about Gillie comes after multiple instances in which the Major Figgas rapper has made disparaging remarks about Cash Money and his alleged questionable business practices.

“All these ni**as is fake bi**h-a** ni**as,” Gillie said of Birdman during an interview with Wack 100 in 2020. “Money ain’t got sh*t to do with being real. There’s a lot of fake-a** ni**as with money. Ni**as is fake as a muthaf**ker. He done robbed every ni**a he came in the game with to get some money.”
