Biological Mom Calls Son ‘A Little Monster.’ Blames Adoptive Parents, Foster Care System

When Amy, reaches out to son Nick's biological mom, Lupita, for help with his behaviors, Lupita accuses her of raising a 'Spoiled little rich kid."

Nick was sent into the foster care system at age 6 when his birth mother, Lupita, went to prison for violating probation on child abuse charges, unrelated to Nick or his biological siblings. At age 12, after multiple placements, he was adopted by his newly-assigned adoption counselor, Amy, and her husband, Jeremy.

After four years of reported escalating aggression and troubling behaviors for which Amy and Jeremy claim they’ve repeatedly sought psychiatric treatment for their son, Lupita says Amy tracked her down to ask for her help.

“Amy wanted me to fix him and send him back to her happy family,” claims Lupita, who continues, “You don’t discard your child like it’s a dog.” Lupita, who admits she’s lost parental rights to three of her four children, claims Amy has raised her son “to be a spoiled little rich kid.” She says Nick belongs with her. “I want him back with me because I think that Nick has been longing for me.”

Amy, who claims Lupita resents their lifestyle, says, “I think if Nick were to live with Lupita, it would be easier for him to affiliate with gangs and drugs. I believe something disastrous would happen.”

On Friday’s Dr. Phil, hear why both women say the other one is acting like “a victim,” and why Lupita says she blames Amy, Jeremy and the foster care system for turning Nick into “a little monster.”
