Bindi Irwin Celebrated by Husband Chandler Powell for Mother's Day: 'I’m So Grateful She Is Grace’s Mama'

Powell posted a sweet family photo and heartfelt message on Instagram on May 12

Bindi Irwin is being honored in her role as a mom.

On Sunday, her husband Chandler Powell shared a sweet photo on Instagram of the daughter of the late “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin, himself and the couple's 3-year-old daughter Grace Warrior in celebration of Mother's Day.

"This amazing woman right here ❤️ She is the most incredible mama, caring wife and all around just beautiful person. I’m so grateful she is Grace’s mama. Happy Mother’s Day, @bindisueirwin," Powell, 27, began his caption, which was posted alongside a selfie photo taken by Bindi, 25, that showed little Grace on her mom's back and Powell leaning into the shot. All three sported huge grins in the sweet pic.

"This photo is all of us laughing because Grace thought it was the funniest thing ever that her rake could stand up in the recycling bin. 😂," Bindi's husband continued in his caption, explaining the story behind the smiling shot.

Ahead of receiving the 2024 EndoFound Blossom Award from the Endometriosis Foundation of America in New York City on Friday, May 3, Bindi shared a sweet post showing her cuddling up to her daughter on the beach, along with a video of Powell making a sandcastle with Grace.

"Afternoon on the beach with my best friends," she captioned the April 28 post.

Bindi and her husband welcomed their daughter on March 25, 2021, exactly a year after their wedding at the Australia Zoo.

At the time, Bindi shared the news of her daughter’s birth on Instagram.

"Celebrating the two loves of my life," the proud mother captioned the post. "Happy first wedding anniversary to my sweetheart husband and day of birth to our beautiful daughter."

Powell also took to his social media to announce his daughter's birth. He wrote, "Thank you for gracing your beautiful mother and me on our wedding anniversary, so excited to have you home."

A month after being born Bindi and Powell introduced their daughter to animals for the first time.

“We’re so proud of our Wildlife Warrior princess. I know our darling girl is going to grow up caring for Mother Earth and all her animals,” Bindi wrote on Instagram for Grace's 1-month birthday.
