Billy Ray Cyrus Celebrates Wife Firerose's Birthday in Sweet Instagram Tribute: 'Love of My Life'

Billy Ray Cyrus is celebrating new wife Firerose’s birthday.

The country singer, 62, marked the special occasion on Monday, sharing a video to Instagram of him and the Australian musician posing together outside a barn, just over two months after they tied the knot.

In response, Firerose, 36, replied, “🩷💝 love you!!!🩷💝💕.”

The “Plans” singer wrote in an Instagram post of her own that birthdays often make her “reflective,” and that she’s happy with the year she’s had over the last 12 months.

“I can honestly say this year has been my favorite on earth so far,” she wrote. “I married the love of my life, connected with some of my heroes, made friends with truly exceptional souls, signed with my dream team & collaborated with some of my all-time creative idols. I’ve never been more extraordinarily grateful to God or excited for the year ahead! 🙏🏼❤️.”

Her post was met with sweet words from Cyrus’s daughter Noah, 23, who also included a shoutout to her fiancé, fashion designer Pinkus.

“we love u! happy birthday from me n pinks!!!” the singer wrote, to which Firerose responded, “love you guys!!🩷🩷🩷🩷”

Firerose and Cyrus first met 12 years ago on the set of Hannah Montana, and became songwriting partners during the pandemic after years of friendship. They started dating in 2022, and were engaged later that year, eventually getting married on Oct. 10.

"10/10/23 will always be the beautiful, joyous day that our two souls united as one in holy matrimony," they wrote in a joint Instagram post. "It was the most perfect, ethereal celebration of love we could have ever imagined."

The couple continued, "For both of us to hear the preacher say, 'Billy Ray and Firerose Cyrus . . . I now pronounce you husband and wife' that was the sacred moment our new forever began. Long Live Love!"

The couple opened up about their love story to PEOPLE in November 2022, with Firerose revealing that she was a confidante for Cyrus as he dealt with the end of his marriage to ex-wife Tish.

“I was just the best friend I could possibly be, supporting him,” Firerose said.

Eventually, they took their friendship to the next level.

“She’s the real deal,” Cyrus told PEOPLE. “When we began sharing the music, it evolved more into, as musical soulmates, to soulmates, happy, pure love that to me, I didn’t know could exist. Again, we’re musicians, first and foremost, both of us. And we found this harmony, and this rhythm, this melody to life.”
