Billy Gardell Signs With UTA As He Returns To TV With ‘Bob ♥ Abishola’

EXCLUSIVE: Actor-comedian Billy Gardell, star of Chuck Lorre’s new CBS comedy series Bob ♥ Abishola, has signed with UTA in all areas.

This marks the second series with Lorre for Gardell, who also starred opposite Melissa McCarthy on Mike & Molly, which aired on CBS for six seasons. Bob ♥ Abishola was developed and sold to CBS last year with Gardell on board as a lead. It was greenlighted to pilot, which was picked up to series and slated to air Mondays 8:30 PM this fall. He stars opposite Folake Olowofoyeku.

Gardell also has been recurring on another Lorre CBS comedy series, Young Sheldon and co-starred on the 2017 CMT limited series Sun Records. In addition to his acting career, Gardell has a lucrative comedy touring business that has spawned multiple TV standup specials.

This marks a return to UTA for Gardell after a brief stint at APA.
