While the Smashing Pumpkins continue their nationwide search for a new guitarist, Billy Corgan will keep busy with a new reality show centering on his role as owner of the National Wrestling Alliance.

The eight-episode Billy Corgan’s Adventures in Carnyland will premiere May 14 on the CW app and website. The unscripted series finds Corgan balancing his home life with partner (and soon-to-be wife) Chloe Mendel and their children with his jobs as both a rock star and the owner of the NWA, the wrestling company he purchased in 2017.

“Rebuilding the historic NWA brand has been both an honor and challenge, and this show opens the doors wide so to speak,” Corgan said of the series in a statement. “To reveal the glory and the grit needed to thrive in a winner-take-all sport. It’s not always pretty, but I’m proud of what we have accomplished thus far.”

Mendel added, “I’m thrilled to share an inside look into our family’s wild life through the world of wrestling and rock n roll.”

Billy Corgan’s Adventures in Carnyland is produced by the Nacelle Company (The Movies That Made Us, Disney’s Behind the Attraction, Icons Unearthed) and directed by Brian Volk-Weis and Ian Roumain.

In addition to the reality series, Corgan also recently announced plans to host his own podcast on a new network led by Bill Maher. On top of all that, the Smashing Pumpkins — who received over 10,000 applications for their guitarist opening — are set to launch a European tour with Weezer in June; they’ll then provide support for Green Day on their Saviors stadium tour, starting at the end of July.
