Netflix has shared a new teaser for Heartstopper season 3, along with its premiere date.

In the teaser, Charlie (Joe Locke) is seen practicing telling his boyfriend Nick (Kit Connor) the three big words: “I love you.” As he continues to rehearse how to express his feelings to his paramour, Charlie’s sister Tori (Jenny Walser) enters his bedroom with some sisterly advice.

“I’m shocked you haven’t said it already,” she remarks.

“I don’t want him to have to say the awkward ‘I love you too’ because he feels obligated to,” explains Charlie.

“You don’t think he feels the same?,” points out Tori, advising him to tell Nick “today.” But when Nick arrives at their house, Charlie gets too nervous and can’t get the words out in the moment.

The teaser is soundtracked by a preview of Billie Eilish’s new song “Birds of a Feather,” featured on her upcoming album Hit Me Hard and Soft. “I’ll love you till the day I die,” sings Eilish in her effervescent love song, a departure from her previous more solemn sound.

The Oscar and Grammy-winning singer announced in April that there won’t be singles off her next LP; instead, fans will experience the record in full when it arrives on Friday.

As announced in the teaser, Heartstopper‘s third season hits Netflix on Oct. 3. The new chapter follows Charlie and Nick as they figure out how to balance their relationship with plans for the future.

The official season three synopsis from Netflix reads, “Charlie would like to tell Nick that he loves him. Nick also has something important to say to Charlie. As the summer holiday ends and the months race on, the friends begin to realize that the school year will come with both its joys and its challenges. As they learn more about each other and their relationships, plan social events and parties and start thinking about university choices, everyone must learn to lean on those they love when life doesn’t go to plan.”
