While speaking to PEOPLE at the Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes premiere in Los Angeles, Rodrigo said that the nominations are "such an honor."

"It's just such an honor and such a pleasure to be recognized by the music community in such an incredible way. I'm very grateful," she said. Rodrigo noted that seeing many of her friends also receive nominations is "half the fun."

"Honestly, sometimes that's more exciting than you getting nominated. [You are] just so proud of everyone that you love," Rodrigo said.

Lipa, 28, is no stranger to the ceremony, being that she's a three-time Grammy winner and previous performer. She is up for song of the year and best song written for visual media for the track “Dance the Night" from the Barbie soundtrack.

The upcoming ceremony will mark the fourth consecutive year that best comedy album nominee Trevor Noah will serve as host. The comedian, 39, said that the honor is something he's "excited" about.

"It's a lot of fun," he said during an episode of his podcast, What Now? With Trevor Noah. "I enjoy the Grammys because I get to watch the show in person and then experience and comment on it in person while it's happening."
