The Oscars are almost upon us, and according to the combined predictions of Gold Derby users, Billie Eilish will claim her second trophy for Best Original Song. She and her brother Finneas previously won for penning the title song from “No Time to Die,” and now they’re expected to prevail again for their ballad “What Was I Made For?” from “Barbie.” If they do, it would be the first time this century that a composition wins both Song of the Year at the Grammys and Best Original Song at the Oscars.

It’s less common than it used to be for soundtrack songs to cross over to the Grammys. The last time a song won both of these awards was actually Celine Dion‘s “My Heart Will Go On” from “Titanic.” Written by James Horner and Will Jennings, the classic love theme from the blockbuster film won Best Original Song at the Oscars in March of 1998. Because of differing eligibility periods, it didn’t compete at the Grammys until 1999, but it was so impactful that it still won Record of the Year and Song of the Year despite being more than a year old by that point.

“What Was I Made For?” had the opposite trajectory, competing at the Grammys first and winning Song of the Year. Will it win a matching Oscar just like “My Heart Will Go On” did? As of this writing it’s predicted to win by 24 out of 27 Expert journalists we’ve surveyed from major media outlets. Its closest competition is actually another song from the “Barbie” soundtrack, “I’m Just Ken,” written by Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt. It’s backed by three Experts. It’s a tough call because “What Was I Made For?” won the Golden Globe and the Grammy, but it lost to “Ken” at the Critics Choice Awards. So Eilish and Finneas aren’t a sure thing by any means.

Since “My Heart Will Go On,” only two Oscar winners were even nominated for Song of the Year at the Grammys: Eminem‘s “Lose Yourself” from “8 Mile” and Lady Gaga‘s “Shallow” from “A Star is Born.” “Lose Yourself” ended up losing the Grammy to Luther Vandross‘s “Dance with My Father,” while “Shallow” was bested by Childish Gambino‘s “This is America.” Will Eilish and Finneas double up where those other songs couldn’t?
