Billie Eilish took to the Grammys stage to perform her Barbie hit “What Was I Made For?” on Sunday. Eilish is up for six awards tonight, five of which are for this song.

The singer-songwriter was joined by her brother Finneas on the piano for her performance. She channeled the Sixties with a green-checkered coat and sunglasses, delivering the emotional ballad while perched on a stool. Taking off her sunglasses halfway through the song, Eilish sang “I’m sad again, don’t tell my boyfriend/It’s not what he’s made for/What was I made for?” while backed by aching violins and a cello.

Prior to her set, Grammys host Trevor Noah sat down with the artists’ parents and congratulated them on their award-winning children, quipping, “You have the perfect formula… You have the winning formula.”

Eilish’s reflective hit won a Golden Globe earlier this year and is up for an Oscar next month. Tonight, the song is up for both Song and Record of the Year as well as Best Music Video. Outside of Barbie, her Labrinth duet “Never Felt So Alone” is nominated in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category. The 22-year-old star has already amassed seven Grammy wins over the course of her career so far, five of which she nabbed in 2020 for her debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?

In recent interviews and on social media, both Eilish and her brother Finneas have confirmed that her third album is in its final stages. “We are almost done with this new album,” the singer told Jimmy Fallon during an appearance on The Tonight Show in December. “So at some point, you will know more, but I’m not gonna say anything right now.”
