Billie Eilish announces tour dates ahead of third album release

US pop star Billie Eilish has announced a tour of North America, Australia and Europe with more than 60 concerts starting in Canada in September and ending almost a year later in Ireland.

The 22-year-old singer announced her "Hit Me Hard and Soft" tour on Tuesday in social media posts that have collected millions of likes. However fans in New Zealand, South America and certain US states like Florida and Texas were quick to voice their disappointment that the tour skips them.

General ticket sales formally start on May 3, while those who have bought the upcoming album can now access pre-sale tickets. The upcoming album of the same name is set for release on May 17, and no singles are expected in advance.

Eilish picked up her second Oscar in March, making her the youngest to receive two of these awards. As a 17-year-old, she stormed the charts in 2019 with her debut album "When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?", followed by her second album "Happier Than Ever" in 2021.
