Lost Frequencies, "What Is Love 2016"
Haddaway's 23-year-old classic is back thanks to a low-key cover by Lost Frequencies (aka Felix De Laet), new at No. 38 on the Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart (dated Nov. 19). The trop-house track is included on the Belgian DJ's debut album, Less Is More, which also contains "Are You With Me" and "Reality" (featuring Janieck Devy); the songs reached Nos. 17 and 37 on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, respectively. Haddaway's Eurodance original reached No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 11 on Dance Club Songs in October 1993.
KREAM featuring Clara Mae, "Taped Up Heart"
KREAM, the DJ/production duo of Norwegian brothers Daniel and Markus Slettebakken, cruises 39-22 in its second week on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs with "Taped Up Heart," featuring vocals from Clara Mae. The track marks the first appearance on any domestic chart for both the DJs and the singer. "Taped" culls most of its points from streaming, with 92 percent of its 1.2 million U.S. streams (up 122 percent) from Spotify clicks, according to Nielsen Music.
Born Dirty Featuring Kid Sister, "Don't Stop Get It"
Although originally released in March 2015, Born Dirty's "Don't Stop Get It," featuring Kid Sister, bursts onto Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales following its synch in a commercial for Apple's new MacBook Pro, released Oct. 28. The track starts at No. 39 with 2,000 sold (up from a nominal amount a week ago). "Don't" marks the first Billboard chart action for Born Dirty (aka UK producers Son of Kick and Linden Jay) and the first in nearly seven years for rapper Kid Sister (real name Melisa Young), since her Ultraviolet reached No. 11 on Heatseekers Albums in December 2009.
