Billboard 200: Metro Boomin and Future back at #1 with sequel collab album ‘We Still Don’t Trust You’

It has only been three weeks since their first collaborative album hit number-one on the Billboard 200 albums chart, but Metro Boomin and Future are at it again. “We Don’t Trust You” debuted on top of the chart dated April 6, and now their follow-up “We Still Don’t Trust You” has done the same on the chart dated April 27. “We Still Don’t Trust You” achieved 127,500 equivalent album units based on its combined traditional album sales, individual track sales and online streams, with streaming making up the vast majority of the collection’s activity. That total number of units is about half what Metro and Future achieved with “We Don’t Trust You,” which launched with 251,000. But it was enough to knock Beyonce‘s “Cowboy Carter” to second place with 98,000 units. “We Don’t Trust You” rose one spot to number three despite being down 17% to 83,000 units. Morgan Wallen‘s “One Thing at a Time” climbed a spot to number-four with 71,000 units. And Noah Kahan‘s “Stick Season” jumped three spots back to number-five with 51,000 units thanks to the vinyl and CD releases of the sleeper hit album’s recent deluxe edition.

In our weekly Billboard 200 predictions contest, most of our users were right that “We Still Don’t Trust You” would be number-one, though many thought “Cowboy Carter” would hold on to the top spot for a third week. We overestimated how many units “Still Don’t Trust You” would achieve, though, putting it between 200,000 and 249,999 instead of where it actually landed between 100,000 and 149,999.

Number-two was a close call, but 20 people correctly bet on “Cowboy Carter” in that position. Only nine anticipated “We Don’t Trust You” in third place, however, while seven rightly guessed that “One Thing at a Time” would be positioned fourth. Nobody anticipated the physical media release of “Stick Season” pushing it back up to number-five, so nobody scored perfectly when forecasting this week’s chart. But four users did correctly answer four out of six prediction questions. See how you did here.
