Lifetime has unveiled their fall Ripped From the Headlines lineup. The network will feature seven original movies, including their 500th original movie.

'Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal' to Return for Season 2 on Netflix
For the milestone, Lifetime will hold a two-night event for “Murdaugh Murders: The Movie,” led by Bill Pullman playing Alex Murdaugh, the powerful South Carolina lawyer, who turned out to be living a secret crime-filled life.
The Murdaugh case has been making headlines as of late, as the South Carolina man was found guilty in double homicide for killing his wife and son in March. Netflix’s docuseries “Murdaugh Murders:: A Southern Scandal” debuted in February, as the case was ongoing. A second season will drop on the streaming service on Sept. 22.
Lifetime’s Ripped From the Headlines slate kicks off on Sept. 16 and will all debut on Saturdays at 8 p.m. through October 28. This year’s lineup of films star Luke Macfarlane, Melissa Joan Hart, Sarah Drew, Meagan Good and “Vanderpump Rules” star Ariana Madix. All movies were filmed prior to the SAG-AFTRA strike.

How She Caught a Killer

Synopsis: When rookie detective Linda Murphy overhears her boss talking about a serial killer targeting sex workers, she goes undercover and teams up with FBI agent Neil Carter to help solve the murders.

Stolen Baby: The Murder of Heidi Broussard
Cast: Emily Osment, Anna Hopkins, Ian Lake, Briar Nolet
Synopsis: Based on a true story, this follows Magen, a girl pretending to be pregnant at the same time as her longtime best friend, Heidi. However, when Heidi and her newborn daughter go missing, suspicious about Megan’s intentions are questioned.
Date: Saturday, Sept. 23, 8 p.m.
Amish Stud: The Eli Weaver Story
Cast: Miranda MacDougall, Luke Macfarlane, Kirsten Vangsnes
Synopsis: Devoted wife and mother Barbara Weaver led a traditional life in her conservative Ohio Amish community. Her husband, however, gave into the “temptations of women and technology” forbidden to the community, leading a secret life online as the “Amish Stud.” Furthermore, he shared with mistresses his desire to kill his wife — something that made him the prime suspect when Barbara is found dead.

Buying Back My Daughter
Cast: Meagan Good (EP), Roger Cross, Faith Wright, Ariana Madix
Synopsis: After a year of searching for their 16-year-old daughter, Dana and Curtis discover that she is listed for sale on an online escort ad. Immediately, they get to work to try and rescue her from her trafficker, working closely with a police officer who has a personal connection to the case.

Murdaugh Murders: The Movie

Synopsis: Lifetime’s 500th original movie follows the twisted story of the wealthy Murdaugh family and the crimes committed by Alex Murdaugh, who was found guilty in March in double homicide after killing his wife and son.
Date: Two-night event, Saturday, Oct. 14 and Sunday, Oct. 15, 8 p.m.
Bad Romance: The Vicky White Story
Cast: Wendi McLendon-Covey (EP), Rossif Sutherland
Synopsis: Vicky White, a lonely corrections officer falls for a prisoner and comes up with a plan to break him out of prison.
Date: Saturday, Oct. 21, 8 p.m.
Would You Kill for Me? The Mary Bailey Story
Cast: Melissa Joan Hart (EP), Celina Myers, Presley Allard, Olivia Scriven, Connor McMahon
Synopsis: Told through three different perspectives, the movie follows the volatile relationship between three generations of women — and the hardships and toxic relationships each get involved with.
