Fans who attended the final show of Ali Wong's 12-night residency at The Wiltern in Los Angeles got a special treat: a surprise appearance from her boyfriend Bill Hader!

At the end of her set — a part of the Netflix Is a Joke comedy festival and filmed for an upcoming Netflix special — on Sunday, May 12, the Beef actress, 42, asked some audience members, "Do you know who my boyfriend is?" She then proceeded to ask them, "Do you want to meet him?”

To much applause, Hader, 45, came out on stage holding a single red rose and the pair shared a kiss. When he handed Wong the rose, it broke in half, and the two laughed. Wong mentioned that Hader had grabbed it from one of the arrangements backstage.

While on stage, the Barry alum joked that this was a "very informative evening" as Wong had shared some hilarious details about her love life during the set. Turning more serious, he applauded his girlfriend for how "effortless" she made her set look after watching how hard she's worked on it over the past year.

As Hader spoke, Wong looked adoringly at him with her hand on her heart. Before leaving the stage, Hader declared, "Ali Wong is off the market!"

Days before the appearance, Wong teased on Instagram that there would be "a little surprise" during her final show, which fell on Mother's Day.

PEOPLE confirmed Hader and Wong had rekindled their relationship in April 2023 after briefly dating in the fall of 2022.

Wong announced her split from husband Justin Hakuta in April 2022. She officially filed for divorce from the 41-year-old entrepreneur in December 2023.

In January, Wong told Access Hollywood that she and Hader like to keep their relationship “very selectively private.”

Wong added that their relationship works because the pair are in similar places in life as parents. (Wong shares daughters Nikki, 6, and Mari, 8 with Hakuta, while Hader has three daughters with his ex-wife Maggie Carey.)

“It’s just also, like, we’re both, like, in our 40s and parents,” she said.

They also appeared together at the 2024 Golden Globes and the 2024 Critics Choice Awards.
