In what was aft the worst team performance of the season, the Longhorns had an injury scare with star running back Bijan Robinson.

In the fourth quarter with the offense trying to salvage some sort of dignity against Iowa State down 27-7, the Longhorns were attempting to move the ball downfield when a handoff to Bijan Robinson ended with him being tackled and fumbling the ball for the second time of the game.

Robinson has taken a lot of hard hits, but he did not get up after this one, and needed medical attention. He was able to slowly make his way off the field, but walked to the locker with a towel covering his face in obvious pain. It was unclear at the time what he had hurt, but a team’s spokesperson updated the media after the game about his injury status.

The Longhorns are likely glad to hear it was just a neck strain, as an injury to anyone is not good, especially when that person is your best player.

Robinson like the rest of the offense struggled today in the loss, as other than the two fumbles, he was held below 100-yards for a second straight week and for the first time all season did not record a touchdown.

The Longhorns and Robinson take on 1-8 Kansas next week, in a game that they hope will end this dreadful streak off losses.
