One of Hollywood’s biggest nights—the Oscars—took place last night at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Jimmy Kimmel served as host for the fourth time, with Black Hollywood favorites Cord Jefferson and Da’Vine Joy Randolph taking home awards for their respective projects (“American Fiction” and “The Holdovers”). However, the ceremony wouldn’t be complete with a few red carpet trainwrecks from our beloved stars. Here are the biggest letdowns.

Erika Missed The Mark

We love Erika Alexander. In fact, she has been a beloved actress for decades, but everything about her look—from the black velvet gloves to the tacky flower necklace to the multicolored tutu skirt—really was an all-around no.

Genie Gone Wrong

Chrissy Marshall’s look reminded us of “I Dream Of Jeannie” but in the worst way possible.

Weird Combo

Octavia Spencer is known for dressing in the most flattering way. There are entire Tiktok tutorials on how she dresses for her body. Her hair and makeup were on point for her Oscars look, but the ill-fitting sequin blazer (we get what she was going for) ruined the look.

Cut It Out, Billie

Billie Eilish may have won big at the Oscars, but her questionable outfit was losing the whole night.

Pajama Cool

Kim Taylor-Coleman was trying to channel effortless cool but all she gave us was pajama chic.

Sophie Mas’ Clash

Sophie Mas attempted to combine two bold prints for her big Oscars red carpet moment but majorly missed the mark.

Dinosaur Drama

This shade of green was wickedly stunning on Cynthia Ervio, but the back ...it’s a little too reminiscent of a certain prehistoric creature.

Bad Plaid

Andrea Riseborough’s plaid moment clashed with the carpet—and our eyesight.

ND Stevenson’s Bizarre Attire

We’re not sure who ND Stevenson is or what this look is about, but they needed to step it up for the Oscars.

Seeing Red

Babyface’s all red suit was topped off with red circular glasses—both of those things simply didn’t work.

Ava’s Buckles

Ava Duvernay is a genius but sporting a dress with buckles for straps didn’t seem so smart.

Sandra’s Flying Nun Routine

Did Sandra Huller’s frock feel like fab fashion or was it giving “Flying Nun?” We’ll let you be the judge.

Satin Self-Sabotage

Dwayne Johnson can pull off almost anything with his physique, but his satin ensemble was a little too costume-like for the Oscars ceremony.

Usher’s Cleavage

Usher tried his best to serve in a low cut top. We weren’t feeling the sequin top paired with white pants and white shoes.

Ariana’s Down Comforter

We love drama as much as the next person yet Ariana Grande’s oversized cape gave pink down comforter vibes.

Greta Flops

Greta Lee was aiming to capture old Hollywood glam. Her black and white dress had a unflattering shape, with her long white collar that doubled as a train looking like a roll of toilet paper.

Melissa’ Two-Tone Disaster

We see what Melissa McCarthy was trying to do with her pink and red dress gown but there was just too much fabric for it to work.

Gabrielle’s Structured Frock

Don’t come at us for this one. We know the beloved actress will be on all the best dressed list for this year’s Oscars. We also agree that Gabrielle Union’s hair and makeup were stunning. The dress she wore, however, had a structure that felt a bit off and it was giving us placemat vibes.

Becky With The Bad Dress

Becky G’s getup had too much going on for the look to make sense.
